QUAKERTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA – (November 16, 2018)
NovaTech Automation, LLC is pleased to announce that they recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newly opened office and educational services facility in Aiken, South Carolina. The Aiken Chamber of Commerce helped to facilitate the ribbon-cutting, and representatives from both the Chamber and Aiken County Council were on hand to congratulate NovaTech Automation for their continued support of the Aiken community.
For over 20 years, NovaTech Automation’s Aiken Office has supported customers throughout the region and has maintained a special relationship with the Savannah River Nuclear Facility. The new location will serve regional customers but also allow NovaTech Automation’s relationship with the USC Aiken Industrial Process Engineering program to thrive. Through senior capstone projects and internships, students gain hands-on experience with NovaTech Automation’s D/3 Distributed Control System. This benefits both customers and the Aiken community, by ensuring a steady stream of local engineering talent for years to come.
“We’re thrilled with our new office and happy to introduce the space to the local community, universities, and especially our customers who will benefit from the location, increased space, and laboratory,” said Volker Oakey, NovaTech Automation CEO and Chairman.
The office includes a hardware lab created to facilitate training and provide support for multiple generations of our D/3 Distributed Control System. “This facility has proven invaluable time and time again, not just for training and educating customers on the latest D/3 innovations, but for testing, repairing, and staging equipment, and providing engineering and project management services for customers,” adds Mike Donath, NovaTech Automation Engineering Manager.
In addition to the representatives from the Chamber, County Council, and NovaTech Automation, there were approximately 50 customers and employees present to celebrate the ribbon-cutting and to attend the Open House that followed.
